DELILAH

Delilah is a 7ish-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix (45 lbs) with a calm presence and a heart full of quiet affection. This gentle girl is happiest living the laid-back life, spending her days sunbathing, watching the world from the window, and curling up for snuggles on her own terms. With her low energy level and love of routine, Delilah is the perfect companion for someone seeking a peaceful, loyal best friend rather than an adventure buddy.

Delilah is very friendly with people and enjoys attention, pets, and treats, though she can be a little shy when first meeting new people. She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows several basic commands including sit, come, stay, and leave it. Because she is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, she prefers slow, short daily walks and plenty of relaxation time.

Delilah would thrive as the only pet in a calm, quiet home where she can feel secure and respected. She prefers clear boundaries and is not comfortable living with other dogs, unless they are very laid back and give her space, so adopters should be prepared to continue gentle training and confidence-building to help her feel her best.
